I’ll take issues with lights every year if they keep the hill.
The old scoreboard is heritage listed so thats got a few years in it yet. Just keep the hill and Adelaide has something special tying back to what South Australians grew up with in cricket.
That hill is inefficient for crowd numbers but everyone wants it to stay. It has to. That’s more Adelaide than the pitch or anything else.

Did a scoreboard tour with SAPSASA as a kid. Finals were at the Oval but we were shit, largely thanks to me opening and making 9 in 3 innings..
The hill was just where we watched the games for me. Incredible atmosphere, cheap, get your spot and watch a good game on a competitive (for the most part) wicket.

My old man was a member. My fondest memories of him are the days we spent together at the cricket, drinking beers out the back, watching the greats hit up on the practice wickets pre game. It is a truly a unique experience in Adelaide.
