Tetanus is the exception to this.

Tetanus is proof. It happens when toxins are stabbed into your body past all defenses.

And I don't see how getting a tetanus shot after you've stepped on something can actually fix the problem. It could only exacerbate it. So if you didn't get tetanus you just already weren't going to.

Yeah getting a tetanus jab after stepping on a nail never made a lot of sense to me either. Like trying to buy house insurance while you're house is on fire.

Tetanus was the one pathogen where the immune stimulus matched the infection threat. Getting vaccines for generally non lethal infections always seemed a little retarded. Chicken pox parties over a chicken pox vaccine for example.

It all just reminds me of that guy injecting cow pox pus into his family trying to prevent small pox. Experimenting is cool but to say the science of immunisation has been settled is unscientific.

My kids both have robust immune systems. When they get sick, they get it very acutely & quickly recover. We rarely even get colds in our family.

The Scientific Method is a consensus driven PoW blockchain.

You can propose any opinion you wish but unless you conform to the rules of consensus and work. Any attempt to hard fork the SM blockchain will fail.

I'm surprised this needs to be explained to a bitcoiner who should already understand how blockchain validation works

I wish there was actually some proof of work involved, but most studies & the conclusions most widely promoted are shoddy crap paid for by special interests

There are thousands of published papers for you to read, including preprints. It'll take some effort to go through but nothing good in life happens without a little sweat and work

Theories of engineered outcomes by "special interests" fail to fulfill the consensus and PoW mechanism. Besides, how can 150 million scientists and 50 million doctors from 208 countries with only a few weeks notice, all participate in a global coordinated scheme - and for exactly what kind of outcome????

Covid was a bummer. A random event that the biological world has caused before and will cause again. That's life mate. Blaming your own species for a microorganism's genetic characteristics goes no where

Things are far more often conspiracies of ignorance bolstered by desires to avoid the guilt that comes with the acknowledgment of grave mistakes.

Why did the medical establishment try to crucify the guy who attempted to spread the practice of hand washing & germ theory? Why did doctors try to bleed people healthy for centuries? Why did doctors regularly dose kids with arsenic as treatment for all sorts of ills just 60 or 70 years ago? Do you really think injecting people with aluminum now is all that different?

The patterns of behavior that have played out around vaccines, & now covid, are not new. If you make your decisions based on social consensus you will basically always be wrong about the most critical issues at all the worst times. Consensus (outside of bitcoin) is a pretty horrible heuristic.
