Old guns are art.
Snub nose is not sawedoff, It came that way. These were popular for mob hits because of the large caliber and pocket size. Very reliable, As long as it has oil you should not be afraid to use it. Just don’t drop it or you might damage the bone handle. (My Dad had an all steel one.)
