One thing you can be 100% sure of is that I'll never come here asking for free sats for my struggling friends or myself—especially for friends who own beachfront properties. Some people are absolutely ridiculous!
Discussion
I recently asked for donations for a friend who lost her home in Hurricane Helene. It has meant so much to her that people who don't even know her have been kind enough to help.
for showing empathy? I don't think this is it man. You lose more in disasters than just money
Oh, I’m all about showing empathy, but not just towards one wealthy individual. There are plenty of relief funds out there, such as the Red Cross, California Fire Foundation, and California Community Foundation, that anyone can contribute to. IMO, sharing photos of friends' beachfront properties (whether owned or rented) while asking for donations feels wrong. This heartbreaking disaster has impacted so many lives. Why not focus on contributing to a general recovery fund that helps everyone in need, rather than prioritizing the preservation of one lavish lifestyle?
Of course, Natalie is popular on social media, so we all know many people will jump at the chance to show off their "empathy" not out of a genuine desire to help her, but to use this opportunity to gain attention or boost their own image. It’s disheartening to see such tragedies turned into a platform for performative acts rather than sincere efforts to make a meaningful difference for everyone and I mean everyone affected.
100%.
