I'm gonna do Masters in Public Administration starting next month. I'l focus on how public services can regain trust by decreasing taxes, giving power back to people, make people LESS dependant on the government and be more transparant and accountable. I have yet to figure out how I can incorporate bitcoin and nostr into my study. Any ideas are more the welcome!

Do you need a masters degree for all of that? Sounds like common sense to me 🤷‍♂️

I submit for your consideration: rather than commit 2 years and tens of thousands of dollars, stack sats and build/contribute to a future built on #Bitcoin. The Bitcoin Policy Institute may be a good place to do so. Happy to make an intro.

I’ve always thought using transparent mechanisms like self-directed tax funding and quadratic funding for tax dollar allocation would be a good way to increase public support. I’m pretty sure there are studies showing that people are more likely to pay if they know and approve of where their money is going.

Imagine you get to self-direct say 50% of your tax dollars and the other 50% goes to a matching pool that is distributed according to the cumulative choices of everyone (I.e. quadratic funding). 0% is arbitrarily allocated by politicians. This is extreme but a good example of a system you could build using nostr and bitcoin.

Your suicide note after you slip in the shower is going to be lit 🔥 🤣🤣🤣

Well Nostr for actually owning one's identity on the network. I think the protocol has a lot going for it and it is more user-friendly and more discoverable than pure P2P networks where you also own your identity. At least Nostr identity also follows you across your devices.
