I don’t know I really started painting like five years ago. I grew up with a very artistic brother and father and mother, but I could never paint anything that wasn’t abstract so it made me feel like I really had no talent in this area.
I am the only one that paints abstracts hence I can't paint a horse if I wanted to lol so I deeply relate. My daughter and granddaughter I think are the real artists but the little one thinks I am the artistic one. Just to say that just because it's different, (beauty is in the eye of the beholder), art is subjective. They probably can't make your abstractions.

I personally love the abstract and I couldn’t paint a horse either I mean, I can barely make a good looking face, but I can make these dancing aliens and I can make circles that kind of come together and work
I am trying not to bit myself and I do appreciate the process of creating. It's funny because after a while and testing different techniques, suddenly you know , intuitively what to do next. Who knows where it can develop too? Training the hand and materials makes it easier and easier.
