Cedar trees cut from our land last winter. Logs milled this spring. Shingles sawn last week. Installed over the past few days.
What a dramatic transformation! Still some small details to finish up today, and then my back really needs a break. ๐

They are about 1/4 inch thick on the butt-end and taper to almost nothing. The technical measurement used for 16-inch shingles is 5/2" (5 butts together measures 2" thick)
