I’ve had apps disappear from my phone automatically and it pissed me off to no end. Thats when i permanently cut off auto update. Couldn’t fucking believe they would do that.

I don’t have confirmation that this happened with WOS, but someone suggested it and I figure overly paranoid is better than waiting to hear about it.

I also moved my $4 to a BTCPayServer :D

I doubt the auto-update relates to auto-removals. The former is something mostly controlled by the provider while the latter cannot be triggered by the provider and probably only gets triggered by the platform after very careful deliberation.

Possibly, but the auto update was related to when this happened specifically to me in the past. Maybe it was a fluke or only certain apps act this way. I have little concrete details, but the very notion is creepy and anything that may affect the default should be tried, imo.

I’d be far happier to have to look foolish for being paranoid than see people lose sats because I was dismissive.

So I guess it’s withdraw first, THEN turn off auto update 😆
