I think people building "nostr killers" REEEEAAAALLLLYYYY discount the power of a network that already has 100k accounts with reputations and relationships.

It isn't always about the tech, bootstrapping a new network is HARD AF. People always trying to reinvent the wheel, far more often than not, just end up still using the wheel.

Why can't we just focus on keeping these things cross compatible? Especially if they are key-based, there's no reason you have to lock yourself into one or the other.

My thoughts exactly. I can’t see a good reason *not* to utilize #Nostr keys because it’s just simple and available. *Maybe* it requires a little

more work up front, but it very likely means a lot less work later on, imo.
