I heard from many ppl (non-nostriches) that if I go to Costa Rica it’s not safe to leave the resort/hotel.

What are your views on this?

There is a risk to going anywhere. I would rather risk Costa Rica than parts of Detroit.

Exactly, that’s why I am asking to hear from ppl who visited or lived there. I heard the same about other places I’ve been to already and for me personally it was ok.
