Doesn't 1 BTC = 1 BTC? why worry about the price in fiat? Is #bitcoin for savings ONLY or replacement for dirty fiat?

The fiat price is a good gauge for the purchasing power of your bitcoin in goods and services. The reality is that money has no value until you spend it. Will I "cash out", in other words trade my bitcoin for fiat? No of course not. But there are certainly level of bitcoin's purchasing power where I will trade it to brings things into my life and the lives of those I love that will make their lives better.
