The video image being seared into everyone’s brain is what John Robb calls an “empathy trigger”, not dissimilar to the response to George Floyd. The who and why are likely deeper and darker than our pay grade allows. It sure seems that this moment in time will cascade and compound along a bumpy road ahead.
