You mentioned earlier that you use your iPhone and keep it in your pocket to count the steps. Do you find the results to be reasonably accurate? I'm a recent Fitbit user, and I'm seriously questioning the accuracy of that device and / or algorithm. Recently I walked with another Fitbit user for an entire day and our results (number of steps taken and distance covered) were wildly different.

Pretty accurate yes

Thank you! Could that be due to the fact that your phone is in your pocket and only counts the bounces in your step whereas the Fitbit on the wrist has to account for the movement of the arm? I'm actually going to answer my own question, next time I'm going to put my Fitbit in my pocket. I'll report results here.

how's the upload accuracy? 🤣☀️

pretty sexy - 😏

Cool.. I just noticed this feature on my phone.. totally not accurate.. but maybe the trick is putting it in your back pocket.. very cool

Or I’ll have to get a Fanny pack while on the treadmill..

sorry to pry in on the conversation

I think in general it’s a bit generous with the number of steps. But the counting does seem consistent from day today. So I don’t sweat the number, I just know that on any day where my app says I’ve hit 10,000 or more I feel good, so that’s my goal. If it’s “really” 9000 or 11500, doesn’t matter.
