My sister-in-law is dead-set against Bitcoin and is convinced it's a scam. I bought her mother a hardware wallet for Christmas and set it up for her, then sent her $100 in BTC. Sister-in-law ranting and raving telling her not to buy any BTC the whole time. I had to make it very clear I was not trying to get her to buy anything, but gifting it to her as i think everybody should have at least SOME BTC...

I just talked to her and she let me know about her PD getting a report of somebody scammed out of their BTC, sending it to somebody with a promise of return but never got anything back. She seems to think these types of incedences are somehow a fundamental issue with Bitcoin or something, not realizing these scams happen with everything...

How do I break through?
