Crazy but true, when I’m out in public, my phone usually stays in my pocket. The only times I pull it out are to coordinate plans, check directions, snap a quick photo, or reply in the family group chat if someone’s traveling. Heartbreaking that it’s become so normal to see people sitting outside for hours, lost in their phones instead of the moment around them. πŸ¦‹

If you were around I don't think I could ever look away at my phone.

Haha you always have the best lines

😘

Crazy isn't it? Almost always when I check in public transport majority is looking at their phones...

Yeah, extremely wild. The crazy part is the people on public transport might be more interesting to watch (sometimes) πŸ˜‚πŸ™

Sometimes yeah πŸ˜‚ πŸ«‚

Well the someone travelling clause is you, if you’re out, so that means you can be using it constantly.

Lol true, but at least at the park I put the phone down. I thought of this image because I was just sitting at the park admiring the leaves changing color and squirrels running around when I saw a family (husband, wife, 2 kids and a dog) everyone was on their phones for over 20 minutes and the poor golden was just staring at his ball. It broke my heart. I thought about taking a photo because it was wild to see all of them bent over looking at their phones while all the dog wanted to do was play catch with his family 😭, but decided not to put a random family on blast 1. Because I want to respect their privacy 2. We have all been there so I can't really point from a glass house

You might be right, but you might also be projecting what you think a family should look like onto them. They might see the shared silence as great
