Let’s work together to find solutions instead of hyping how great we all are, since we found Btc.

And even more important. Don’t get divided about minor questions, such as op_return.

What's wrong with spreading good vibes? It does not prevent us from working together and finding solutions.

I don't feel divided about op_return it is just a discussion that should be taken seriously, without discourse there won't be any progress.

2) We have no evidence yet that quantum computers are able to break encryption such as sha256. Yes, there is a possibility quantum computers could do it at some point but it hasn't been proven until now.

And if quantum computers get close to the amount of qbits that possibly can break sha256 we will have our security alerts going on via other weaker algorithms being broken first. Yes a hard fork is messy but I don't think that coordination at this point would be such a big problem since it would mean adapt or die.

5) Ask yourself: What kind of money do YOU prefer? The one that can be debased at will and in consequence you losing parts of your economic energy or the one which has a clear and unchangeable monetary policy since the start? If every person starts to ask themselves this question it isn't even a question of what is better for "the world", "society" or "the greater good". People will naturally adopt it over time.

Bitcoin is serious shit. Money is serious. Doesn’t feel appropriate to post beachphotos, stating „enjoy freedom, goodbye fiat…“ I mean, nice for you but this is not what it is all about for me.

When I follow the debate on GitHub, X and the mailing list, I feel division. Hopefully, I am wrong.

2.) fingers crossed it works. Do you know possible new algorithms? What are the discussed proposals or do we know what to do? I don’t know the answer.

5.) Under normal circumstances you are absolutely right. I am convinced, we should and will give it a try.

Once your country is attacked, I am not so sure about the answer. I would appreciate a tank in my street defending me which is paid in fiat, rather than no tank but the enemies army.

And yeah, I know that Btc makes war unaffordable.

But still there might be situations where lending from the future is indeed the best idea.

Everyone has a different approach to bitcoin, that is what I love about it.

Some people get divided, sure. But I don't "hate" or despise someone only because he has a differing opinion on a topic (which in some aspects is above my pay grade).

2) No I don't know any specific algorithms I just know there are some out there that are supposed to be quantum resistant. Will read up on that at some point

5) I would say Bitcoin makes war less affordable not unaffordable but I still get where you are coming from. I see it not as a normative question as in which alternative might be the better. Rather in the sense of what is the most likely outcome.

Similar would be to ask if cell phone use is good or bad for the individual. Yes, it has differing negative and positive effects on the individual. The negatives might even overweigh but this question didn't stop people from adopting cell phones thus changing the world through it.
