A dream FOSS funding entity would really be no admin, just flow through bounty/grants using BTC.
A group of key holders would approve dispersement.

What if no one holds it but it’s locked up on your end and released at a certain time. Sounds like a smart contract haha. Does taproot allow for something like this? Talking without having a clue…

If the NostrGit project succeeds then FOSS projects can be funded directly with lightning without any funding entity in between. The funding could even be directly split between the contributors via lightning prisms so that the project doesn't need to be a non-profit.
