Ocean Chambers, 190 West George Street Glasgow.

This gorgeous building was designed in a Free Classical style by Robert Bryden and was built in 1899. It's home to Glasgow's only pair of walruses (in the relief by an unknown sculptor over the door!).

nostr:npub1rtvk4x7x5zy788uttpspl3rneqqwr0llvcrejqcpaw3lwxx7090qp9u6sf the asymmetry is an interesting one. When coming down the street, the two gables with their finials are actually quite symmetrical. It's only front on that they are not. The walruses are just plain brilliant!
