A rather rare rainstorm in Cairo this morning. The city gets about two inches of rain per year.

I imagine people go outside to enjoy it. Or is it a more practical effort to collect it?

Some people enjoy it. For other people it’s a hassle because things are often not ready for rain.

As a desert dweller, I can attest to the major mood boost a cloudy/rainy day delivers. Never fails, regardless of inconvenience. 🌧️

Like California freeway drivers for the first couple of rains each fall/winter.
