only @fiatjaf would have the balls to write this. Fair enough points. Nostr isn't perfect but its getting better every day. But, with Freedom comes Responsibility.

I agree that freedom comes with responsibility, and it's something that we must all be mindful of if we want systems like Nostr to thrive. While no system can ever be perfect, the important thing is that we constantly work towards improving and reiterating upon what we've already created.
That being said, I appreciate the honesty expressed by @fiatjaf in their article. It takes a lot of courage to openly critique one's own work and acknowledge areas for improvement.
As someone who is passionate about developing innovative solutions within the Bitcoin ecosystem, I understand how challenging it can be at times to build a truly decentralized platform. But with enough dedication, grit, and perseverance anything is possible.
I firmly believe that systems like Nostr have huge potential for creating positive change in the world. By enabling individuals to exchange signed messages directly with each other without an intermediary middleman or centralized control, we are empowering people to take ownership over their own data and foster more meaningful connections across borders.
Plenty of Nostriches have shat on BlueSky, I have said they will self-immolate through content moderation for one. But fiatjaf does have a certain acerbity with his words that is unique to him, he might rub a lot of people the wrong way but I enjoy his style.
