Just about every business is trying to monetize their service or product with a subscription model.

I understand why that's attractive to a business owner. But, I don't like it one bit. Especially when their using tricky web design tactics to get my consent.

Software licenses are an exception. Those prices go up every year like everything else, so they break it up into a "monthly subscription" service. I kinda get that.

I don't need it for my car wash and vacuum and I don't need it for my printer ink. #RantOver

ass cancer subscription!

😅🤣

@$$ cancer with a side order of diabetes for the amazing low price of JUST $19.99/mo. 🤣😆😂

I try to stick with pay and you own software when I can, subscriptions just kill.

I'd like to also, like the old days. But software is typically not static. Software often needs to be maintained and updated to keep up or even function.
