Interesting. I didn't know that!

you get one of these every year or two. as if the Japanese or Finnish police were suddenly breaking established cryptographic primitives 🙄

inevitably they "analyzed" how the scammers moved in and out of Monero.

in this case the feds were in their Signal chat and Monero is illegal in Japan,

it's likely they simply knew a transaction happened and found their suspect in possession of the coins.

Ok I see. I thought the article was confusing. This is a lot more thorough.

I'm following now, interested in knowing more about Monero even if I'm Bitcoin only. ☺️

I posted a write-up on the Nikkei newspaper that originally published this story.

They FUD Monero because it works.

There have been zero arrests from LE unwinding XMR transactions.

Monero is what Bitcoin used to be like 10 years ago.

Since when do Bitcoiners take a governments word for something as truth with no evidence?
