I experimented with rendering the color pickers in an overlay, instead of sliding them down :).

Which one do you prefer?

What do you prefer about it? 🙂

Fits the workflow I'm used to.

I think the old version's better too. I'd rather have it open downward in an accordion flow and keep other elements visible by scrolling than overlay stuff with a popup.

Gotcha! When I implemented the sliding back in the days that was exactly my motivation 😅.

The issue that I noticed more and more while working with it is that it gets very disorientating when settings keep sliding around 🙈. Plus its hard for a second person watching you on the screen, to follow your actions.

It seems as if both approaches kinda target two very different situations 🤔:

- Sliding: Slow, methodic, thinking, focused users

- Overlay: Quick, creative, designing users and demonstrations
