How does one join a Nostr paid relay?
I've found a list of them, but I can't find any good information on how to join/pay the fee.

You need to pay the subscription fee. Generally speaking, you visit their website and pay the Lightning invoice, then add the relay to your profile.
Thank you, I didn't realise that I'd have to visit their website. Sometimes it's not clear what their website is, but for some of them like nostr.wine it looks straightforward.
I also paid for a nostrplebs.com address by the way. I've just realised that you're the developer/owner of nostrplebs, thank you so much for replying to my note!
usually the relay homepage has payment details. On mine, I think I may have hidden it too much (right hand side options menu) nostr21.com

If you can share screenshots, a screen recording with commentary it will help the devs & designers learn what does not work today and what is not intuitive
