I started with trezor T. It is pretty good from a prepared amateur perspective, plenty of youtube videos.

I chose it because I could enter my words on the device not a compute or phone

I am now using a Blockstream jade. Still have the trezor. Also can enter words on the device.

Some may object to the Bluetooth capabilities.

Trezor you can install Bitcoin only firmware if you are truly done with shitcoins but it does support others.
