I onboarded a bike shop this morning.

My forte is definitely onboarding sports shops.

Anyway, the owner is like “how do I do it through? I’ve not accepted btc before …but I’m a believer!”

I’m like no stress I can send to whatever you want today onchain or lightning then I’ll link you with someone Portuguese who can explain best how to become a merchant.

So I send to his ledger app on his phone.

And he’s just casually like yeah send it here….

AND THERES A MOTHAFUCKING WHOLE BITCOIN ON IT.

no shitcoins, just a 1.something in bitcoin.

🤯

I shouldn’t be surprised - there’s at least 2 bitcoin worth of gear in his store.

But still.

Always cool seeing a bitcoin in the wild!

Hey mate, do you try to onboard every business you goes to? Is it by just asking if they accept and offering some help or do you come up with a "pitch"?

I used to be quite direct and yes I would try to onboard every business.

After a few years of this I now build a relationship before broaching bitcoin.

With this guy it was my second visit and while trying in a pair of shoes I joked that I’d get the expensive pair “when bitcoin hits 130k”

He says “isn’t it like 115 now?”

And I was like hell yeah this guy is into it.

If he was like “wtf are you talking about” I wouldn’t bother ya know

Got it. This makes sense. Trying to onboard everyone must be a very frustrating endeavour.
