There is no such thing as free data storage. Someone is paying. If it's not you, who is it?

Idk probably [REDACTED]
That's a good question? Who is paying for Nostr storage?
You do. You'll get a little bit of free space. If you need a lot of storage, it'll cost you.
For instance, I pay for storage at satellite.earth
I'm paying for it. I'm running a Blossom server for my closest friends and a WoT Relay for up to ~22k npubs in my Web of Trust. It is not expensive nor time-consuming, and my only agenda is to get a pat on the back every now and then.
Recognizing that nothing is free begins the conversation of how we pay for it. That's a big difference between the Bitcoin ethos and Fiat. We say that we CAN have nice things, we just have to be willing to pay for it. Fiat says we can't have nice things, because too many people are unwilling to pay for it.
I have an idea of how to solve all storage constraints.
Data × Verification → **Proof**
We can have nice things.
Don't worry, core Devs want to put the burden onto node runners and give spammers a cheaper alternative to regular data hosting
Good question, half of the people is not able to find the answer…
