Just saw the location settings on android again.

It has things like sharing your location with google and "Help companies determine if ads are effective trough location history".

You may not know this but android has a ton of location tracking by default and when enabled your google account has a full location history of where you have been.

So, what you want to do is visit https://myactivity.google.com to check what they have on you, disable the tracking and delete it all. I did this years ago and this post is a reminder for you to do it to.

Next up also go in your location menu and double check that things like location precision by sharing your location with googles servers is disabled.

Do I trust them not to do it anyway? No, a degoogled phone is better. But it sure is better for your #privacy if its not openly stored in your profile. Especially if someone ever gets a hold of your account.
