Confession: mountains freak me out. I hate to stay or drive in any mountainous region. I prefer flat areas. If I were to stay at a hotel on a cliff, I would not be able to sleep, more likely just leave.

I have a fear of drowning (probably from a close call when I was a kid) but I’d rather sleep on a boat than any place on a mountain. Beaches are totally fine.
Nooo, mountains are so awesome. I'm not a fan of cliffs, but mountains I love.
Have you thought about why?
Maybe an unexplored fear of heights? Though I’m not generally scared of heights. Only if I have to jump 😂

Not sure which is worse, driving through Kansas, Oklahoma, or the drive between Phoenix and Tucson. Or Phoenix and Vegas. All seem endless.

Also hellish, almost forgot, because there is zero freeway between Wichita and Joplin, Missouri. Two lane roads. Hell. And in the end, you’re in southern Missouri. No reward. Rugged.

My country is the epitome of "mild". Highest "mountain" 1600 m has a pub on top (they all do), biggest spider could fit in a small cup, I've seen poisonous snake free in a forest once in my life, winters and summers are uncomfortable for a few weeks tops...I love Czechia 😅

Only if you live close to a lake, then there is plenty. Othervise just keep your rainwater barrels closed and you're good.

Mosquitoes yes, but very small. They are annoying of course, buzzing in the evening. But I am allergic to them as well as my son and still can be ok without larger treatment. I heard you people of other worlds have some real stuff👀😅

des millions de dollars😂. Sainte horreur de l''altitude depuis mon enfance j' avais le vertige depuis mon enfance, j'ai commencé à m'y faire en voyageant dans des endroits à travers le Monde et petit à petit j'ai commencé à vaincre cette peur.. Toutes mes jambes devenaient comme du coton, même certains ponts j'avais du mal à les traverser... Mais une fois vaincue on voit le Monde autrement tellement qu'on n'est rien du tout.. J'avoue ce sont des lieux m'apaisent, m'emeuvent... Mais je n'irais point me percher dessus pour le moment cela peut trop bien pour les alpinistes.. Bonne journée Boston en espérant que vous aurez un bout du spectacle Lune Soleil de ce jour.. Moment où il n' y a que silence, un froid ressenti même les oiseaux se calment... Profitez vous en si vous en avez un bout.. J'envoie ceux du Mexique et ceux de quelques pays quii auront la chance d'avoir cette éclipse totale en France ce serait vers 20h 40 il me semble.. 💜🫂
I love mountains but have freaked out driving our van over some passes.
It’s a good thing that we all love different things : hot or cold climates, Europe or Asia, mountains or valleys ,beaches or pools, big cities or woods in the wilderness. Can you imagine if every human on earth had the same set of preferences and likings? That would be such a nightmare - everyone would want to have same things, eat same food, or live in the same country or continent etc. So boring and depressing and dangerous even :) So grateful for our differences and unique tastes.
