I like that there’s a place on the Internet where I don’t feel obligated to talk about the current thing.

I often hear the question "why does the government even tax when they can just print money?", but I think the two are tied together. The real value of the money printed comes from the labor of people that is forcibly extracted from them by taxation. The dollar is not backed by nothing, as I see it; rather, it is backed by the ability of the U.S. government to take money/value from it's subjects (called "citizens").

This is why the Federal Reserve Bank, which prints the money, was created the same year the income tax was passed in 1913. They were both necessary components to give the State the funding it sought to carry on wars, fund government corruption and largesse, and bypass the will of The People, etc.

If they couldn't extract real value from people (called taxes), they couldn't keep printing money because it would soon be seen as worthless, and other nations and creditors would stop buying U.S. bonds and loaning the U.S. money.

If Americans stopped funding the U.S. government (meaning they stopped paying taxes), that could possibly bring it down. But Americans are indoctrinated to believe taxes are just a necessary part of life, together with death... 🤨

What if it's not a loan? What if they demand it, with threats of violence if you don't pay them?

My main struggle as a parent is distinguishing between giving them

- what they need

- what they want

- what i wish I’d had

I do ok where there is overlap.

But it’s challenging for me to handle the outliers.

They individually want and need different things than i did as a kid.

I just want for them to define success for themselves and achieve it.

People will circle jerk around the idea that the US is a failing state going the way of the USSR. What they fail to realize is that the US is the culture leader, we are the city on a hill for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Bitcoin needs the people in the United States to bring the torch of liberty forward by taking money out of the hands of government. No one else can do it.

On the other side of the lockdowns we had an incredible amount of minds awaken.

The direction govs are doubling down on are 10000x worse than the lockdowns.

We have a low time preference in Kansas City and ten year decisions are the norm.

We can target 5% net income per year and be happy because we know our savings will be worth more purchasing power when denominated in Bitcoin.

That is our plan. If you want to beat us then your beef has to be from the US, taste better, operate with lower margins, and save in Bitcoin.
