That'd the problem in btc-ville. Far too many think self-custody and running a node is all they need to do.
I think the issue with privacy is it will always be a cat and mouse game with the government. We are hoping that we can stay one step ahead of the government by writing more or better code, but AI makes that an impossibility.
We have to change how we are governed and by whom. This is the long game.
Yea thats definitely a huge part. But what I meant was more that some think self-custody and node running is some magic potion that automatically fixes everything, meanwhile still supporting the same governments that want them dead
What else can we do?
Stop supporting the same govenment that wants us dead is a good start. Cant vote your way out of tyranny so get that notion out of your mind. Stop supporting the corporations that work in conjunction with the criminal governments. No more Amazon. No Wal-Mart. No Whole Foods. No Target. Support local always if its an option even if it costs a bit more. Find your food from non-typical sources. No more chain stores. No more factory farmed meat. Grow/raise your own if possible. No more packaged franken-food. Swich to Linux or BSD. De-google a phone. No Apple products. To name a few.
