Nuclear power, leaves us paying someone else still for electricity.
Bio gas, wind, solar propmote sovereignty and freedom. Nuclear does not!
I think if folks are gunna opt out they should actually OPT OUT...
🤷

For bio gas, wind and solar you have to pay for the gear. E=mc^2 is unbeatable when made in the right manner. Kilopower kind of machine would give you sovereignty for decades.
That's another point I think freedom-loving people should keep in mind. Nuclear energy (at least for the forseeable future) means some kind of grid, which leads to some kind of matrix. I can't do nuclear energy in my backyard.
As a freedom-loving person, I'm interested in all energy technologies that I can use myself or within a small group of trusted people.
It's not really possible to opt out. Solar and Wind are not really renewable. Wind turbines have a lifespan of about 15 years. The only country that can produce solar panels on scale is China, and it is only competitive to setup due to government subsidies.
Both are also intermittent. What will one do when there is no wind, or at night when there is no sun?
Nuclear power on the other hand runs 24/7. If one lived their entire life on nuclear power, the "waste" they would generate would fit in a Coke can. That is far less than the pollution from coal, oil, natural gas (a nice word for methane).
