Random thought that I want recorded in NOSTR posterity. I think this Niger coup thing is largely being ignored and is quite under appreciated as far as significance. I think we could see General Tchiani Muammar Gaddafied (to verbify it) so to speak.

Yes. If France loses its colonies then it is trouble for the EU.

Yes, and the Niger significance extends beyond just France, although that is notable! I specifically decided to write this note when I saw that Victoria Nuland decided to travel there and said “difficult conversations were had.”
