Dumb question: do I need to do something to ensure I can redeem cashu on Nostr? I'm on Android; I guess I need to install some app?
Then, if I'm the first to click 'redeem', Nostr would redirect to this app on my phone, and I could then withdraw via Lightning?
I have searched for 'cashu' in the Play Store, but I'm not convinced that any are genuine
cashu.me and minibits are my favorite wallets. i think amethyst is working on a built in wallet, maybe?
cashu.me is a pwa, no install necessary, set up a lightning address in the settings to receive zaps there
minibits is a thick client
there are also nwc options, but i know nothing about how that works
I'm playing around with boardwalk.cash now. After sending a few sats to it via Lightning, I now have a long string ('creqApWF...'). For now, I don't know what to do 🙂. I kinda just want to give it away for free on my free 🙂
So now I'm wondering how to expose it. Do I just paste this string as-is as a Nostr message?

I got it working now, thanks! I got a token starting with 'cashu...' and shared it on Nostr
And I just also played with cashu.me. Also very easy to use. Thanks @vnprc !
Is it easy to check if a token has been redeemed, without actually redeeming it?
that doesn't look like a cashu token, those start with cashuA or cashuB. you can send it to yourself as a test. you can also just yolo it out to nostr and let the mob have it
first, tho, you need to find out what that string is
