IRC in the 90's was a wild time that's for sure.

i miss those days.

good ole irc.efnet.org was my home for many, many years.

dalnet, kidsworld and a bit on undernet.

i wasn't a fan the chanserv bots on dalnet. i did use irc.mtv.com for a bit until all of us script kiddies ruined itΒ πŸ˜‚ then it was back to efnet.

they live again πŸ‘»

(no idea if you can see the ghosty)

emoji's work on astral.

I'm using astral. are there clients that don't handle emojis?

im not sure? i saw a very ASCII / text based looking client at one point.

i can see him on Damus!

For real. This has the original spirit of the internet. No recommendations, no personalization, no ads, no kyc. Just data on a network…

IRC ruled

it was the best of times. efnet #mp3hq was my main home, along with various other channels from the mp3 scene.

the seven deadly sins was the scripting app I used

with Windows and mIRC i used 7th Sphere and ircN before writing my own. then i moved to bitchx with crackrock on linux.
