Good morning nostr, its time for coffee and then starting on the chores outside before the rain comes in. But at least i dont think we'll have any icy/freezing issues with the rain.

We decided on a big pot of chili for the family gathering this weekend, and my husband is the designated chili maker in this house, so i'm off the hook for that. I'll make some cornbread to go with it, and maybe a dessert. I think he wants to cook some pork ribs and sausage too, so we'll have plenty of food for everyone.

Anyway, yall have a great thursday, enjoy your coffee, and do your work with a happy heart. #coffeechain #grownostr #homesteading https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/8d9d2b77930ee54ec3e46faf774ddd041dbb4e4aa35ad47c025884a286dd65fa/a1ab1a549c19fcc8f8c36cd479dd6cef3adf72730cbfe72d75845b5ef67335e8.webp

Morning Maria

Love chili. Have fun…

Mornin'... Let's stir up some controversy. Do beans belong in chlil?

Ok here we go. We add some beans to our chili, but the meat is the main event. I think a few beans adds a different texture that works well overall. But i believe in freedom of chili.

Doesn’t matter as long as the chili is red and has some level of heat to it and contains beef. There is no such thing as turkey chili or white chili. Those are stews.

Good morning!

That sounds delicious! But I am curious no beans or sacrilege?

Yes we add beans to ours, but in much smaller proportion than meat.
