Typical czech breakfast. Doesn't look like much, so I slapped a filter on it. Didn't help.

Those rolls are same dough as soft Pretzels, but without boiling in lye, so they don't have that dark cover (which I love and frankly was the one thing in Germany I'd stay for.) The dough isn't sweet like american buns and it's one of the most typical czech things to eat.

But let's talk about the sheep cheese. I bought this smelly soft 17 weeks cured thing two months ago, forgot about it and then, to be honest, was afraid of it. Today I took it out and it cured to this amazing, quite hard and not so smelly thing.

Point of this exhausting and useless post is that I had breakfast. GM.😁

So a typical Czech breakfast is bread, curated cheese and coffee?

Some sort of cheese and butter probably. Or ham. Or liver pate, that used to be quite a big thing here and I still love it. Basically anything you can slap on bread or the roll (rohlΓk). Our rolls are different dough than our bread tho. Rolls are white, typical bread is half rye and half wheat, not as soft and slightly sour. That's rare to get outside our continent in exact ratio, even in western Europe.
