I promise you as someone who has been at this homesteading life for a long time, there is no amount of suffering you will endure by living this lifestyle that will not instill in you and your family a greater sense of purpose.

And when the days grow short and the cold grows long you might find yourself gazing into the glass of the wood stove, with its crackling, dancing, fire and catch yourself reflecting on those moments of trials and realize you would not change it for the world.
