JUST IN: The United States closes its embassy in Kyiv urgently warning of a ‘significant’ air attack.

The development comes after Ukraine used U.S. made ballistic missiles to strike Russia, a move that Putin said would mean the U.S. is at war with Russia.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Embassy said it “received specific information” about a potential incoming attack but didn’t elaborate.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Russia’s foreign minister Sergei V. Lavrov said that a “new phase” of war had begun.

“We will be taking this as a qualitatively new phase of the Western war against Russia. And we will react accordingly…”
