That's an interesting description. Can you tell me more about those thinkers or liars? Do you have an idea of why they call themselves atheists when so many different people in similar scenarios might proudly call themselves Christians? How do you know about these thinkers and liars? Have you ever called yourself an atheist? Have you had any particularly illuminating experiences with people calling themselves atheists that you would be willing to share?

I’ve never had the ignorance to suggest god doesn’t not exist.

Atheists are the antithesis of thinking individuals.

How do you look around you and think “yup, this is it. There’s no higher power.”

Only an absolutely braindead individual could ever do such a thing.

I don't understand your position. Earlier you said "There are no atheists, just thinkers or liars amongst them." And now you are saying that atheists are the antithesis of thinking individuals. Can you clarify what you were saying earlier?

I don't see any big issue with a higher power existing, though maybe that's just because I don't know all your observations or exactly what you have concluded must be the case about a higher power. When I say I'm an atheist, I just mean that I don't believe there was an intelligent first existence. (In other words, I don't have the same kind of issue with unintelligent first existences or intelligent subsequent existences.) Does my position mean I think there's no higher power?

No. If you’re incapable of reading comprehension then this conversation can’t really go anywhere.

Oh is THAT the way you want to look at it? It seems pretty clear to me that you just aren't capable of articulating your position in a comprehensible way. However in the interest of fairness, I won't hold my judgement against you if you are at least trying to explain yourself. Not to mention it would be pretty embarassing if I've been spending all this effort trying to understand someone who doesn't actually have a coherent position.

I appreciate the effort you've made to respond to my questions and explain your position so far. I know you say that I am incapable of reading comprehension, but I believe that it's also possible I'm just bad at comprehending the phrasing you have used to explain some of your beliefs. Since I have been asking you questions and repeating what you've said back to you, I have to wonder, is there some reason you can't treat me fairly and withold judgement until I actually give up on comprehending what I'm reading from you?

You ask too many question and I have no reason to engage without outside surface level engagement.

I don't have to ask you any questions in my replies if you don't want me to. Questions are nice because they let the other person know what kinds of responses the asker believes are relevant to their position. But insults are a nice alternative to questions, since they give the other person a more explicit reason to respond, and though insults don't give the other person as much direction, the other person is given more freedom with how they can respond as a result.

I'm surprised you think you have reason to engage even on a surface level. Instead of just asking what this reason is, I can instead simply accuse you of the least flattering possible reason you could be replying that's consistent with your choices.

My guess is that you cannot cope and you struggle to rationalize when an atheist has actually sound reasoning in their beliefs. I think you want to only engage on a surface level because you are looking for the first excuse to dismiss my beliefs so that you can maintain your concious denial without revealing just how little you understand what I actually think or why.

So many other Christians understand atheists better and are able to accept the idea that all opinions about God are subjective and valid. Many of these Christians would simply choose not to talk with me at all. I think you should come clean about the real reason you are talking with me.

Way too long of a reply, no one’s reading that

Yes, and that's your fault. Humans need feedback so they can know which details the other person has already considered.

Only if said human cares about the opinion of the person speaking/typing.

Your questions are disorganized, your replies too long, and your insights sub-optimal.

Not worth my time.

See? Now I'm not even worth surface level engagement. You pivoted hard after decided to talk with me about religion. You don't have a ton of self control, do you? Maybe you should be like me and stop pretending your time is worth anything, or that you have too much "dignity" to stoop to talking with people you look down on.

Blah blah blah

Holy fucking shit, I just read the last paragraph.

In now way shape or form do Christians acknowledge any view on god as valid except for Christ is the one true god. They do not accept atheism as valid.

What lying bullshit.

That’s another reason atheism is invalid, it makes you fucking retarded.
