When you store value, it is a medium of exchange to yourself in the future.
You cannot store value
Often I find that I somehow despise (envy?) developers while also being indebted to them for the work they provide gratis.
Thankfully the system is designed in a way that the value I store also increases the value of the coins you store value in so I don’t owe you anything else.
The network continues operation even in completely adversarial conditions.
