weβd have to ask him, apparently we can only do it to ourselves and I do remember him releasing a tool that let us do that to ourselves, most people remember that tool.. but now this changes things bc zap stats arenβt really fully broken unless we ourselves break them, sure anon and profile zaps arenβt included but we all already knew that n understand why it makes sense for those not to show up

Literally didnβt do it. So the theory is wrong.
Looks like it used to be possible to fake zap other people back when zaps were new, which was what I thought I remembered too, but hereβs where it was fixed in Damus. No doubt some of the other clients had the issue too and fixed it after this. Nostr.band probably never purged those from their stats, as I think thatβs the only place now you can see that.
