Looks like I'm boiling more eggs today. I got a big jug of red hot from a restaurant that closed. I'll use this to ferment the eggs for about a month.

How do you ferment boiled eggs?

I just remove the shell and put them in the brine from anything pickled. After about a month the eggs absorb a good deal of flavor from the brine. If you like dill pickles you will most likely the eggs. Put the jar in the refrigerator.

I figure the red hot has enough salt and vinegar to act as a brine. Last batch was very good.

I think you can use the juice from fermented or vinegar pickles typically found in the store.

You can ferment eggs?? Do tell.

I'm thinking scotch eggs or century eggs

Pickled eggs.

Oh, ok, dont know why i blanked on that. Maybe never heard of "fermented" eggs, but that makes sense. Thank you.

Oh yeah. Maybe I should say pickled eggs. Fermenting is form of pickling, im not sure what term is more appropriate in this case.

Anyways I put 18 eggs in red hot today.

Love spicy😊
