Whenever this happens it’s always important to FaceTime or video call the individual, I’ve literally saved myself countless times by doing this.. it’s so easy to sim-swap these days, everyone in our lives could be targeted and used as proxy. Dude, even that isn’t for sure anymore.

Don’t be the guy that falls for an ai scam. Nat Brunell had a guest on a few weeks ago who was a cyber crime expert and I was really surprised by the level of sophistication these guys are at.

Fake video was a relevant topic of that pod.

It’s hard to fake a live video call, specially if you are aware you have to ask them questions ONLY they would know the answer to. There’s no faking that.

The guy I was talking to said that he had a phone call with the scammer and believed it was really him
