Whenever this happens itβs always important to FaceTime or video call the individual, Iβve literally saved myself countless times by doing this.. itβs so easy to sim-swap these days, everyone in our lives could be targeted and used as proxy. Glad your stack is okay my friend π« remain vigilant always!

Dude, even that isnβt for sure anymore.
Donβt be the guy that falls for an ai scam. Nat Brunell had a guest on a few weeks ago who was a cyber crime expert and I was really surprised by the level of sophistication these guys are at.
Fake video was a relevant topic of that pod.
Itβs hard to fake a live video call, specially if you are aware you have to ask them questions ONLY they would know the answer to. Thereβs no faking that.
I was thinking the same
The guy I was talking to said that he had a phone call with the scammer and believed it was really him

Very scary times
