i don't know where to peg this stuff, it's somewhere in the vicinity of hard techno and hardstyle and gothic/new wave and aggrotech and futurepop

due shout out to nostr:npub1xd9ct0275rh8hmh4m5fsxlelfz469g9lvr4jgdj7qsye2nydav7s0r7h9f ; resident dj of pirate radio nostr:npub1ua6fxn9ktc4jncanf79jzvklgjftcdrt5etverwzzg0lgpmg3hsq2gh6v6 whom in turn introduced me to this project; although with the song Sad Groove https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGay0IX-QOw

at first heard i was like "wtf is this sh*et?"; then like "the balls on this kid!"; finally after a few listens got me as an all time favorite. Nockti also gave me a heads up towards its last boiler room which is also a blast of a set; seems he's good both producing AND listening/curating https://open.spotify.com/playlist/50pkqCal2DJhzTlSK7PVSa

i hate spotify but then i pay for youtube premium, i'm just simply not interested in being nagged to sign up for yet another shit

but then i also understand that i have always blocked their ads and now they don't send them and those ads are annoying as fuck so, idk

https://youtu.be/8CT6HxYA0cg

the sound quality is kinda depressing though to be honest

also, i have a special hate for spotify after their preview on nostr was blocking me from doing screenshots of my own goddamn browser

they clearly got a lot of flak over that because they quit doing it but that whole business soured me a lot on a bunch of "privacy influencoors" in the bitcoin scene who have presences on nostr who were cheering for Librewolf which i tried and it kept nagging me to enable DRM

DRM is not allowed on my computer

i own my computer

i am not ceding control of my pixels, or my sound buffer to these fucking spooky cunts

I blocked google domains on my systems and I agree no DRM, your software doesn't get to tell me what I can or can't do with files on my system. I pay to listen to music, not for your engineers to tell me what I can and can't do with my computer.

I've been using a tool called pinchflat (uses yt-dlp) to download and archive youtube channel content automatically. I then use it's built-in channel rss feeds with my glance dashboard to see my latest subscriptions.
