ugh, same! a few days ago I'm feeding using both hands and a nursing pillow. he's eating and he's great but I know it's not long term sustainable for me. my body is in a weird crampy position and the pillow is great for home but I can't take it with me out of the house.

I think the hospital staff show new moms generalized approaches to breastfeeding but it's up to us to figure it out at home.

The following revelations saved me:

- side lying position

- putting the baby on a blanket, etc. on a table

When necessary, laid back position or a bunch of pillows can also work but aren’t ideal.

I couldn't get side lying to work when I tried a few weeks ago but I might try again now that he's a bit bigger. I couldn't get comfortable and get boob into his mouth at the same time.

I'm loving laid back position though. it is so nice to be able to totally relax.
