Hmm. I'm not really sure how to respond to the account deletion question. You could remove their private key from the app upon deletion. Their data would still exist across Nostr though. You could purge any event related to their public key on your Damus relay, but that seems like a lot of work that doesn't solve anything since the data exists on other relays. I wonder if writing another filter would be sufficient? Basically a mute or block of yourself upon account deletion. Anyone that deletes their account would be added to basically a global Damus mute list where no Damus user would be able to see that user's content? It's kind of hacky, but that may work?
Don't they have mastodon clients on there? Isn't the account deletion issue the same deal with them?

no because mastodon is centralized, each server controls the account
I'm talking about clients, which basically are "browsers" in the same way that nostr clients are. The devs of mastodon clients don't have control over what the individual server operators allow
