Everytime I click like I cringe a little bit for the relays.
A lot of compute and storage for a like... Which seem dumb next to zaps...
Could one run a relay that didn't accept or send like events, would it run way better?

It’s a habit to react, I’d rather it just go away 😅 zaps have slightly more friction still but I think they’re at a point where we can do away with reacts already
The question is, should it be replaced by the amount of sats zapped in total, or total times zapped?
Think the client could easily show both.
With reacts gone you could easily fit both! Something like

Although I’d be partial to sat total in the quick view. Then if you want to know how many profiles zapped, you click into the note.
Yeah, just the matter of decimal spots. Let’s say your post gets zapped 55 sats from a single zap.

Oh for that you could see probably show the amount.

The presentation would be language dependent. Some countries would want 2.3k whereas others would want 2,3k.
Zap amount and zap counter could be limited to 3 sigfigs each. Then k for thousand, m for million, b for billion, t for trillion(?).
Reacting is needed, just to communicate that someone isn't just talking to themselves on a private relay or being stealth censored. Zaps are the real communication of how much you like it
