Id like to know too. I previously asked this and got no reply so I assumed the obvious. Sign in to the most client appealing app on desktop and get link there. Hit n miss with anti virus software but that may be because no ssl yet. Also url contains public key
Not sure what I expected as an answer but it wasn't what I ended up doing
Currently, I'm doing a sort of double link that looks like "Nostr: npub" with "Nostr" as a link to a page that loads a profile that anyone without an app (or any knowledge of what nostr is) can see the profile in browser. Then next part "npub" is "nostr:npubxxx" for people that know what to do with it. Just put the url in the same way you would do it an text note. Most clients render the about me text in the same way they render each post. So it should work. The fancy ones accept markdown, but not all of them.
No one displays html from the post. It's just a security issue with all the potential JavaScript attacks that come with it.
Errr.... Are we discussing the same thing? This is regarding code in websites - As in, replacing the old links to Twitter, Lamebook, Instascam, etc., with a Nostr profile link.

And also with the consideration that 99% of my www site visitors have no idea what Nostr is.
I think the best way right now is to use njump. It’s basically a link that brings visitors to a landing page and allows them to view your #Nostr profile from their client of choice.
